Jurassic 5 RIP 1990 - 2007

Today we say goodbye to one of the more noteable groups in the forefront of the alternative hip-hop movement in the early 90s. Jurassic 5 announced their breakup earlier this month. I say it's better they retire now before they do anything stupid like collaborate with Nelly Furtado.. whats that? oh wait.. they already did that. All Furtardedness aside I will remember them as they were on blast in my headphones at the skatepark keeping my spirits high long before I discovered weed.

"Let's take it back to the concrete streets original beats with real live emcees."

Though they may have not been the most talented bunch out of the legendary hip-hop super groups, they certainly were among the most fun. They had a care free vibe to them that I always appreciated and always will.
